Stitched by Me Blocks 1 and 2
I have joined the Stitched by Me Group hosted by Nicola Foreman Quilts. I started this quilt in 2012 but it has been sitting for awhile. This group has me excited again and I have picked it up to get it finished this time. Here is block 1 and the beginning of block 2. My colours are darker than the kit available now from Lynette Anderson. I got my kit when the BOM first came out.

Sock knitting
These socks are so pretty. I love the way the colours are working up. Lots of time to knit and stitch right now!
Broken Ankle, Not much sewing
Unfortunately, I have fractured my ankle and am in a cast for another 3 weeks! Not much sewing going on here. I am lucky that I have finished August of my Nature's Journey quilt. I did manage to sew on one border yesterday with my left foot! I can't drive either so have been very housebound. I am lucky to have my Mom here helping me and I am not that steady on crutches. My good friend, Holly, gave me a walker to use which really helps me scoot around the kitchen. I cannot manage stairs very well though! Lots of hand stitching and knitting of socks going on so that's a good thing!

Stitch-A-Long 2015
Wow I can't believe I have not posted in 2 years! a lot has happened since then. I lost my job which was very hard, but am on the way to getting back on my feet hopefully into a job that I love. I am so excited to start this new Stitch-A-Long. I completed the ones for A Gardner's Journal, Tis the Season and SKoW. They are so much fun and stitching has helped me through a lot of hard times. So excited to begin this new stitching journey!

SKOW, Harrington and Hannah, Lacey, Rory and Molly
February SKOW is finished yippeee. I so love this quilt.
Ice Cream - sorry some pictures are a bit fuzzy!
Hot Chocolate
A Good Book
My strip and blocks for February
And the quilt so far
It love it so much!
Here is my first block of Harrington and Hannah. This is so beautiful and so much fun to make.
and so another bit of a story. We have a chocolate lab, Molly. She is so sweet. Here she is.
She loves her pool so much!
and our cat Rory - he was a stray - we are so glad to have him in our family!
and we have now been asked to foster a rescue cat, Lacey. Lacey is 7 months old and so skinny. She was found almost starving to death. Lacey will be moving in on March 9! We will be home on March break for a week, so it should be a great time to slowly introduce her to our family. We are so excited to be saving her and loving her and giving her a great life and at the same time so anxious about how she will fit in. This is Lacey a couple of weeks ago when she was rescued.
she is a sweet ginger tabby who so deserves a great life. I think we love her already!

Taffy Pull
Yippeee just finished stitching down the binding on this quilt. I am teaching a class on this in a couple weeks. The border took a long time to piece as I pieced it one by one.
and a closer up shot of the quilting. I quilted this on my sewing machine. I bought a long arm but haven't quite figured out how to use it yet!
my kitty loves it too!
I will have to make Rory his own quilt.
