Journey of a Quilter, A Kitten's Tale, Life is Beautiful

Here is my first block of Journey of a Quilter - there are 4 of us quilting friends making this quilt together.  Next time we get together all should have their first blocks done and I will post them here.

I have also been working on A Kitten's Tale - here are the first three blocks together and block 4 is in the works.  I took separate pictures as they show up better that way.

I ordered the patterns for the two above from Valerie at Pastimes Online

and finally Life is Beautiful - also through Valerie at Pastimes Online.

There will be sashing between the blocks and I still have lots of them to stitch.  Boy I need more time lol!

December Blocks - All - the Whole Row- Some Kind of Wonderful Stitch-A-Long

I did it!  I finished the first row of Some Kind of Wonderful!  This quilt is so much fun to make.  I divided up the row into a few pictures here, but I did get one full picture at the bottom

I had to put Canada as one stop on my suitcase as I live here and love it.  I really would love to visit the other places on my suitcase as well!

My kitty, Rory, loves to be in pictures and lay on quilts!

Here is the full row held up by my daughter, Emily.  Emily has started her own blog as she is quilting as much as I am and I am so proud of her.  Emily is at The Forget-Me-Not Garden
Please drop by her blog and take a peek at her beautiful quilts!

Welcome Christmas - Annie December; A few new starts

Here is Welcome Christmas - Annie December. I taught two of these stitcheries (also Fall Stitch) this fall as a class locally and am now finishing up the last of mine.  Here she is, so adorable.  Still needs binding which I hope to get on today.  Fall Stitch is still hanging in the shop.

Oops my kitty walked across it in this picture.  My adorable Rory.

A few things I am starting lol - like I don't have enough to finish:

Pockets of Posies by Anni Downs of Hatched of Patched.  I ordered the kit through Buggy Barn.

Butterfly Garden as a block of the month through Pastimes On Line with Valerie.  Love her blocks of the month and monthly blogs.

Raining Cats and Dogs by Bunny Hill - I love Bunny Hill, adorable applique and embroidery.  I have ordered the kit through Hamels Quits and Fabrics and it should arrive in about 2 weeks.

I plan to do lots of stitching this year, some teaching and hopefully start long arm quilting.  I bought a Mega Quilter 18 x 8 a couple weeks ago.  I am working full time for a corporate lawyer as well so will be really busy!

December Blocks - First Three - Some Kind of Wonderful Stitch-A-Long

I sat stitching last night as we watched hockey and finished the Cup of Tea block.

Here are the first three blocks - The date on my camera should be January 1, 2012.

Patty Cakes

Singing in the Rain

Cup of Tea

Such a pretty quilt.  The quilt calls for needle turn, but I am doing hand blanket stitch in order to be able to keep up!

Off to more stitching, maybe a little quieter now with a couple days off.
